The Cobra CB radio was the mobile platform of choice for all serious CB'ers for over 30 years.
Historically, the best games are always the first manufactured in the Philippines. I bought mine in 1978, and was lucky to get one of these gems. The manufacture of this particular model was discontinued in the late 1990s, but due to popular demand manufacturing has once again been resumed and are now available.
Rugged construction has always been a feature of all CB radios from Cobra and the 148 is no exception. It can live in extreme environments, which is less rapidly destroyed.
